YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE
HERE'S HOW:

There’s a BRAND NEW version of the Indivisible Guide, check it out here. It breaks down into three chapters:

  • Chapter 1: Making the most of a Democratic trifecta: four lessons from 2009

  • Chapter 2: First, fix our democracy

  • Chapter 3: Understand your Member of Congress, understand our power.

The original Indivisible Guide focuses on impacting your Members of Congress (MoC) through phone calls, letters/faxes, meetings and town halls.

1. Calls are light lift, but can have an impact. Barrage your MoCs with calls about specific issues. For scripts, check out our "Flood the Lines" page -- and we post new scripts daily on Facebook.

2. Letters/faxes can also make an impression, especially when you deliver stacks of them in bulk right to the MoCs, like INBK does. Join us post-COVID at our bi-monthly tabling events around Brooklyn.

3. Meetings with MoC staff are the cornerstone of Indivisible. We meet regularly with the staff of Senators Schumer and Gillibrand, Reps. Clarke, Jeffries, and Velazquez, as well as many NY State Senators. When you join our mailing list and Slack team, you will find out more about how to get involved in attending these meetings.

4. It's important to show up in numbers whenever a MoC holds one! INBK had the honor of speaking on the panel at the mega town hall with Reps. Clarke, Jeffries and Velazquez, and we have members there whenever there is a town hall. We also are part of a NYC coalition of Indivisible groups, and one of our very first actions was to demand a town hall from our Senators (we are still waiting for you, Senator Schumer!)
