Indivisible Endorses Cynthia Nixon for Governor

INBK's own Liat Olenick is central to the New York Times article about Indivisible's endorsement of Cynthia Nixon:

“We kept him there for almost three hours,” said Liat Olenick, who sat across from Mr. Cuomo and is the co-founder of Indivisible Nation BK, a chapter in Brooklyn. “It was a lot of smiling and joking, an effort to appear really accessible.”

But her chapter, in addition to the national one, is backing Ms. Nixon, whose name did not come up during their gathering with the governor, she said. “It was like Voldemort,” Ms. Olenick said with a laugh. “She who shall not be named.”

Our Lives are on the Line, Chuck! Rally

Thank you for joining us outside Senator Schumer's house to remind him: Our lives are on the line, Chuck! We were thrilled to co-host this rally with Make the Road NY, which we put together in 25 hours. We thought we would possibly get 30-40 people on such short notice, but instead, we had over 150 attendees.

This rally received tremendous press -- both positive and negative. Regardless, we are thankful for the large turnout and for the attention this rally brought to the issue.

Rally for Peace & Sanity

On August 13th, we expected a small but might crowd -- but instead, 1500+ people joined us in solidarity over 45's recent provocations of North Korea and the horrifying events in Charlottesville.

Our speakers spoke truth to power, and we are grateful to them all: U.S. Rep. Yvette D. Clarke, Public Advocate Letitia James, Comptroller Scott M. Stringer, Assemblymember Robert Carroll, Councilmember Jumaane D. Williams, Assemblymember Jo Anne Simon, Kate Alexander of Peace Action New York State and Molly Nolan of Brooklyn For Peace

The rally was picked up by the Associated Press, and was covered nationally in the Miami Herald, Gothamist, Mic, the Washington Times, and more.

News 12 also covered the rally (click link for video).
