INBK's Liat Olenick and Steve Wagner spoke at the #GOPTaxScam rally, along with Mayor DeBlasio, Comptroller Scott Stringer, Public Advocate Tish James, Councilspeaker Melissa Mark-Viverito, AFT President Randi Weingarten and other activists and union reps.
INBK's Liat Olenick co-wrote an op-ed in the Daily News with Indivisible Brooklyn's Chris DeNicola about Senator Schumer's "intolerable silence" about the IDC. Days later, Schumer makes his first public statement against the IDC, and Liat and Chris' piece gets the credit in this Huffington Post article!
INBK was on a fascinating and inspiring panel at Progressive Hacknight, along with folks from NY Indivisible, Indivisible Brooklyn, Indivisible Harlem and the national Indivisible Guide team. On August 13th, we expected a small but might crowd -- but instead, 1500+ people joined us in solidarity over 45's recent provocations of North Korea and the horrifying events in Charlottesville.
Our speakers spoke truth to power, and we are grateful to them all: U.S. Rep. Yvette D. Clarke, Public Advocate Letitia James, Comptroller Scott M. Stringer, Assemblymember Robert Carroll, Councilmember Jumaane D. Williams, Assemblymember Jo Anne Simon, Kate Alexander of Peace Action New York State and Molly Nolan of Brooklyn For Peace
News 12 also covered the rally (click link for video).
INBK was thrilled to speak on the panel at Reps. Clarke, Velazquez and Jeffries mega townhall on May 8th. Thanks to everyone who attended!

Indivisible Nation BK was featured in a piece about Passover seders with political and social justice themes. One of our intrepid activists called in to the show, and Brian interviewed her about our Indivisible Haggadah, her own Indivisible seder, and our work!

Our Indivisible Haggadah was mentioned in the Washington Post!
"Anti-Trump activist group Indivisible Nation BK’s online Haggadah — which said that parsley, which normally symbolizes spring, should symbolize the importance of attending a town hall during Congress’s spring recess — replaced the traditional hunt for the afikomen, a piece of hidden matzoh, with a hunt for Trump’s tax returns."
