Indivisible Nation BK (INBK) is a not for profit organization in Brooklyn dedicated to promoting civic participation and engagement in the fight for justice, sustainability, and equality. We use the Indivisible Guide's five strategies—calls/letter campaigns, town halls, meetings, public events, and elections—to push our local, state, and federal representatives to resist authoritarianism, corruption, and intolerance; protect democracy; and stand up for our communities.
There are two ways you can support our work right now:
1. Become an “Endorsing Member” of INBK: To become an Endorsing Member of INBK, you’ll need to contribute $15/ year (or more) to support our funding needs and have attended at least 3 meetings/tabling sessions/events in the last 6 months.
2. Make a donation just because! Consider making a donation to keep us going.
Donate securely via ActBlue:
Because 501(c)(4)s can engage in some political activity (as we certainly do), any contributions to our organization are not deductible as charitable contributions.
canvass for climate action
We’re excited to share that we’re launching a new Brooklyn based climate action deep canvassing project, with support from the NY Renews Coalition and member groups!
Why: The climate crisis is too urgent to wait for the next election cycle to enact climate justice and climate action. We need action NOW! That’s why we’re going to dust off our door-knocking skills to start deep canvassing in our neighborhoods for climate action.
When: March 30. The day will start at 10:00 am & run till 2 pm.
What: Each session will start with an hour of training. Then, after a short coffee/snack break, we'll buddy up and go door to door to talk to our neighbors about their hopes and fears around climate change, with the goal of empowering everyone to take political action to save our communities and our planet. This month, we’ll be especially focused on informing our neighbors about the Climate and Community Protection Act, which would push NY toward 100% renewables by 2050, protect frontline and low-income communities from climate consequences, and create green jobs.
Who: YOU! Your friends! Your families!
Sign up for a session or two HERE. Share the sign-up with others you know who may be interested. We’ll email out location info and details the week before.
We CAN make a difference, one door at a time, neighbor to neighbor, for our communities and the planet. Please consider joining us.

why we call albany
Check out our NEW video featuring Senator Zellnor Y. Myrie talking about voting and election reform. The fight for #fairelections is one BIG reason #WhyWeCallAlbany, so after you watch, use the script below to ask legislators to make sure that early voting and a public financing matching system are funded in this year’s state budget.
Governor Cuomo: (518) 474-8390

Script: Hi, my name is… and I’m from… I’m calling to ask the senator/assemblymember/Governor Cuomo to ensure that funding for early voting and public financing for state elections is included in this year’s budget agreement.
activism = community
Sure, we love to keep busy with meetings, events, generating content (like call scripts and videos), but INBK is also a fun community of excellent people. Come be a part of our activist family! Let’s figure out ways to save democracy together.
why we call
Need a reminder about “Why We Call?” Check out our film that explains why every constituent can and should call their elected officials - whether they are represented by Democrats OR Republicans
why we canvass
We are so proud of all of our members and fellow activists who followed Ocasio-Cortez’s advice in this video to knock on doors, phone and textbank, postcard and do the work to make the Blue Wave a reality on November 6th. Use that momentum to join us for what comes next: holding our electeds accountable!
Senator Schumer cancelled his town hall in July at the last minute but Indivisibles came anyway and took questions in the sweltering hear of the un-air conditioned sanctuary. The press joined us, with excellent coverage below. And guess what? We are STILL pressuring the Senator to talk directly to his constituents
