Cuomo Walk The Talk: Move Off Fossil Fuels

On December 14, Governor Cuomo is holding a fundraiser in Manhattan – and we’ll be outside, urging him to get New York off fossil fuels.

We’ll be calling on Cuomo walk the talk on climate change by stopping fossil fuel infrastructure and leading a transition to 100 percent renewable energy. The fundraiser features special guests Bon Jovi and Bill Clinton, but we’ll be rocking our own rally for clean energy!

New York faces an onslaught of pipelines, power plants, and other projects that transport and burn fracked oil and gas, including the Williams pipeline, the Pilgrim pipelines, the CPV power plant, the Albany micro-grid and much more. Governor Cuomo must be a true climate leader by halting these dangerous projects and moving New York to 100 percent renewable energy.

We will be joined by housing affordability activists who will be calling on Cuomo to support housing policies that prioritize and deliver real affordability for the most economically vulnerable households.

This rally is hosted by NYRenews and sponsors include INBK, New York Communities for Change, Food & Water Watch, Sane Energy Project, Empire State Indivisible, 350Brooklyn, Riverkeeper, Surfrider NYC, 350NYC, United for Action, NY Renews, NYC Chapter of Democratic Socialists of America, Three Parks Independent Democrats.
